The company was originally founded on the premise that traveling business people who want to stay fit on the road often find it hard to locate a good health club, other then the small, limited workout room that the hotel may or may not provide.  After doing numerous internet searches to locate gyms by zip code, we realized that search engines really are not optimized to provide detailed information on vertical industries with physical locations.  GymLocator.com was born, and has morphed into TheLocators.com.
